Originally of Burke County and living near his siblings, they relocated to Morgan County, GA in 1810. This family became one of the wealthiest in the county with all children being enslavers. More detailed research needs to be done on the location and number of plantations/work labor camps. There are so many John Walkers/Isaac Walkers that it has been challenging sorting our the various lines.

in 1820, John Walker is found on the Morgan County census with 40 enslaved individuals and families. 30 working in Agriculture, 1 working in Manufactures. 18 males and 22 females.

In 1830 he is found on the Morgan County census with 46 enslaved individuals and families. 31 males and 15 females.
